The GOAT Project Sled Dog Kennel is conveniently located in the Goldstream Valley in Fairbanks, Alaska. We offer a variety of tour options, including Learn to Mush Tours. We think everyone should "Get Out And Try." Our knowledgeable mushing staff will ensure you have an unforgettable experience.
Our dogs are Alaskan Huskies, we lovingly refer to them as our "pet sled dogs." They are well-trained for life both on and off the sled - they are all house-trained, know basic commands and are fantastic off-leash. While they work hard as sled dogs, they also spend plenty of time relaxing in our homes. We ensure they experience life beyond sledding by taking them on many adventures and most of them have been on boats, flown in helicopters, and traveled by ferry. One of our top lead dogs, Corsair, is also a fully trained service dog! Our dogs are incredibly friendly and love the attention and affection they receive from our clients.
Our kennel is more than a workplace - it is our home, supported by a small team of dedicated employees. We take pride in tailoring each tour to meet the unique needs and interests of every guest. With years of mushing experience, our team prioritizes safety to ensure your adventure is both fun and secure. Prior experience is not required. We will provide all the guidance and tools needed for a once-in-a-lifetime tour!
The GOAT Project is also home to Noble Paws, a non-profit organization dedicated teaching mushing to individuals with disabilities, at-risk youth and veterans. A portion of every tour's proceeds goes towards supporting this meaningful organization. Our goal is to make the experience of mushing accessible to everyone!
